Victorian Light Bulb
If there is any one person that will forever be remembered on the face of the earth, then it has got to be Queen Victoria. It was during her reign that many of the things that are useful to us were invented. Many of those things are those that we take for granted and hardly take time to think about, but without them life would be dull and probably unbearable for many.
Among the things that were invented around this time is the light bulb, which apparently, was named after her. The light bulb, as we all must admit, has changed the lives of many people in a very great way. Following this invention, other developments like telephones, photography machines and cars were also invented. Think of how life would be without these things that we do not even take time to marvel at!
Today, the Victorian light bulb is a concept that even young children are well aware of right from elementary school age. This is for the fact that it has changed our lifestyles in a great way by being able to furnish us with light even in the darkest of nights. The greatest requirement is to be connected to a source of electricity. The bulbs require to be handled with care as they are very fragile, and as such, there are simple procedures that one can follow as they clean the bulb.
White alcohol or vinegar is very effective in giving the bulb a sparkling effect as well as removing all stubborn stains. The interesting thing about the bulbs is that, they can be modified to give out a color that an individual prefers. Boys are especially very creative in modifying the bulbs so that they can reflect a preferred color. One way to do so is to paint the exterior part of the bulb.
